Performing the Calculation

When you have entered (and saved) all the necessary data, you can start the calculation. Open the dialog "Processing" and click on Start. You may Suspend or Terminate the calculation at any time; the results accumulated so far remain accessible and can be analysed.

WUFI experts may edit the input file which transfers all the input data to WUFI's numerical processor.

Make the calculation a Low Priority task on your PC if you wish to continue working while the calculation is done in the background. The calculation will take longer, however.

During the calculation, WUFI wanders from the specified initial state through the evolution of the temperature and moisture fields, proceeding in discrete time steps, reading the changing boundary conditions from the climate file and writing the data of each step to a result file.
